CUBBOARD is a cabinetry sales and installation business located in Washington State. The goal for this identity was to design a brand that struck the perfect balance of professionalism and child-like expression, accurately capturing their amiable personality as a business while staying true to their local PNW roots.


PROCESS

Each brand element was thoughtfully curated to showcase their high-quality products, playful nature, and business model. Through research, sketching, and communication with the owners, I dialed in their brand messaging. I crafted a logo system capturing their fun disposition and story, inspired by the business name and the spirited essence of cubs. This brand identity strategically positions them for market success.

Here's a glimpse into my sketchbook, where I've explored various expressions and characteristics of cubs, as well as experimented with ideas on incorporating earthy elements.

sketchbook:

An important piece to this brand identity was creating a visually appealing storefront to ensure the small shop wasn't overlooked. Using the true dimensions of the window panes, I created a flat depiction of the space in Adobe Illustrator. This allowed me to map out the environmental design, ensuring all brand elements were appropriately scaled and positioned.
